Stuart John Osborne, ARCA, Sculptor, Artist, and Teacher

Stuart John Osborne (1925-2009) was an internationally recognised and distinguished British sculptor, artist, and art lecturer.

He was an Associate of the Royal College of Art, who promoted the notions of form, figure, and technical ability, during a period when this was deeply unfashionable with the art establishment.

As a student, he was an associate of Jacob Epstein at the Royal College of Art, and was a finalist in the prestigious Unknown Political Prisoner competition.

Later, he was the recipient of many international offers of medals for artistic achievement, and created and directed the unique sculpture programme at Stafford College, where he taught many artists who went on to work in sculpture and art, music, film, and education.
